HEART BREAKING!

My parents travelled on good Friday morning. They were to be away for two days, in an Easter gospel conference at Abuja. 

I was left alone in the house. 

My mom gave me some money for my upkeep. I was instructed not to stay away from the good friday service, which was slated for 8am that morning. The service was conducted by the church we attended.

I went against her instructions, I stayed back at home. I didn't feel like going out that morning. 

But at about 10:30 am, I decided to take a little walk, inorder to get some food.

On my way, I met some rough looking guys. 

I couldn't figure out what they were doing.

All I saw were stools with cartons placed on them. 

They beckoned on me... As an inquisitive fellow, I was anxious to know what they were doing. I walked up to them boldly.

"Oboy!!! triple your score...drop 2K and get 6K..." one of the guys there was told. To my amusement, he played and won the money.

Little did I know he was amongst the gamblers.

I decided to give it a try...I was shown how to play. 

The match sticks on the cartons were switched. I picked my side.

I played with 1K at first, I got 2K.

With the 2K, I gambled and got 4K.

I felt like a big boy, I had this feeling of satisfaction. I was about leaving, when one of the them spoke... "Oboy!!! U fit play again, u go win 10K".

I decided to give it a try, I played with much confidence. Unfortunately, I lost the 4K instantaneously. I almost fainted! 

In a bid to recover my losses, at least my initial 1K, I gambled yet again, I lost the entire #3000 I was with.

Right there and then, my eyes were wide open, it was like a veil had fallen off my face. I realized I was fooled. 

I pleaded for refunds, I was given a chance to play again but with virtual #1000. I had no option but to gamble with the money I didn't actually have. I lost yet again.

This time around, they got my phone in exchange for the money I lost to them. 

Fortunately for me, I was with my small button phone I use in making calls.

All my pleas were to no avail. 

Alas! I went home with just my SIM cards.

My entire feeding money and phone was gone.

I wept like a baby!
